Editing Canberra Gate MRT station[[1]]

  • The old Canberra gate used to be the exit point of the old British Naval Base where one can enter and exit from the upper Old Thomson Road (now Sambawang Road). It has a few shops which catered for the shipyard works. One can buy a cup of coffee and a packet (bee-hoon) noodles for 15 cents.

Now this is replaced by the splanking Canberra MRT station serving a brand new estate of Housing Development (HDB) flats. One can see this new view taken here from a cafe near MRT station with the sony camera in 2007
