The word genosis is the Greek word for knowing or knowledge. To know means to recognise. Congnition a noun form of cognitive is simply re-cognition added-to-it!

(just leaving out the re-cognition!)

A knowing point of view with an assumed or presumed authority. such a group of learners with peerage standing at wikipedia.

Perspective is just another worldview and cognitive meaning "knowing" or recognition.
