Foreshadowed

  • It is a strange word indeed! However, it is found in the Bible many times. It is used to foretell or truly predict some persons or events to follow.
    • For instance, Jesus as the Lamb of God was foreshadowed in the Old Testaments as in the story of Abraham and the sacrificial lamb provided by God in place of Isaac who was supposed to die as a human sacrifice.
    • The lambs sacrificed in the temple all depicted a spiritual purpose "for the cleansing and forgiveness of sins" as ordered by the Laws of Moses <given to Moses by divine design and instructions in the first five books of the Bible>. Such as this old customs of sacrificial lamb was understood by all the Jews living in the times of Jesus, that Jesus' forerunner John the Baptist called Jesus "The Lamb of God" John understood the foreshadowing lamb as predicted in the Old Testaments!
    • The Temple or the Abode of God as understood universally is a foreshadow of the real heaven to be reveal sometime or some state in the events of the End Times see Eschatology
