Fujian a large province in China with eight Provincial (州) Countiesand one special economic zone of Amoy
The name Fujian comes from the combination of Fuzhou and Jian'ou, two cities in Fujian. The name was coined during Tang Dynasty.

Most Singaporeans of Chinese ancestry came from Fujian. It is a place to visit and discover where your ancestors came from in China. My own ancestors are from Anxi a hilly area in this province. My father went back before he died to prepare his own grave! Yes it is a place to die impoverished "rich", though all your life in Singapore you may lived an impoverished life here!
