[edit] Latest issues close to Singaporeans:

Gambling will not be an industry anywhere except in Singapore, lah? I have yet to hear about it anywhere whether in Las Vegas or Macau. [[1]] in the internet I have this to quote:

  • Goethe once said, "We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise we harden."

That pretty accurately describes the mindset of the $60 billion dollar gambling industry, which includes casinos and state lotteries (together accounting for nearly 90% of total "winnings"), pari-mutuel wagering, and charitable gaming, as well as firms that manufacture gaming machines.

  • Gaming companies have been relentlessly expanding in existing markets, moving into new ones, and searching for additional outlets to attract gamers. Many of the world's largest casino operators continue to funnel billions of dollars into existing markets as, ironically, gambling becomes less important to the bottom line <but not actually true here, in MAD town?" 165.21.154.13 06:58, 7 Apr 2005 (SGT)>[[2]]
  • NB. Elsewhere in the world the Gambling Industry is considered as dying , but here in Singapore, it is going to be flourishing under the Laws / after Act of Government confirmed it by April 18, 2005. [[3]].
  • The grand slam by Wynn: "casino mogul or AngMoh Steve Wynn said the Singapore government's direct involvement in designing the city-state's first two casinos was "unsophisticated" and could compromise the outcome" I call it brain manipulations[[4]] is this another type of sour grapes? I wonder!
