[edit] The Divine kind

Image:Crossscn.gif

LOVE what exactly is love? It can mean many ways a person communicate feelings.

  • Just a person may fall in love. However,isn't it the way like a lover loves.
  • Nonetheless, is that exactly meant for God too?
  • John the Apostle of Jesus describes God is Love.
Well that is obviously a special kind of love meant for God; we call it Divine Love for people,( especially referring to fallen sinners! )

In fact how can another person fall in love with an ugly unbecoming person>> like a sinner who is a thief, robber or murderer and so on.

But God shows his divine Love in that while people <of the worst kind > are fallen, He sent His only unique Son <that is God incarnated as Man> to be the Savior of such people, and that my friend is called divine love. It is love for not just friends but enemies' too! goto see John 3:16

[edit] Song:the love of God

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

{Refrain}

Words: Frederick M. Lehman; he wrote this song in 1917 in Pasadena, California, and it was published in Songs That Are Different, Volume 2, 1919. The lyrics are based on the Jewish poem Haddamut, written in Aramaic in 1050 by Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai, a cantor in Worms, Germany; they have been translated into at least 18 languages.

[edit] God the greatest giver also loves a cheerful giver

God gives all thing to enjoy! Besides His own son.. Image:Crossscn.gif to die for us all..

"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. from the Bible mind you!.
Actually it is even greater to be able to receive graciously: after all, when in the light of things considered, these are the gifts of God to us, and not forgetting all tributes are signs of our subservience to the One who rule above all things, and will eventually receive all things to Himself.: Alien talk 06:25, 20 July 2007 (SGT)Both giving and receiving are acts evidently showning our part in the divine nature of things bestowed upon us as gifts, they are shown by us bearing HIs own image of humanity.

[edit] A true story in Japan

A Japanese man (likely in the 50s or 60s) went around to do some kind acts of giving. What is giving ? That meaning is not clear with most people.. Why should a person gives? Most Kiasu Singaporeans probably think such a person is mad, and after all, he is giving out his millions away to anyone who is lucky enough to receive those windfall!.

Surprised? Well I fully understand his kindness in wanting to give strangers those millions he possesses (money) which BTW had little or no meaning at all(within his scope or worldview ). Yet, it is inherent in us all the goodness with the feelings of wanting to do good.

Giving is the divine kindness in us all. So our Buddhist Japanese went from one Men's toilet at another and placed in the obvious places where people will look and find his packets of 1000 yen notes!

LOGIC: If you cannot keep what is in your temporal possessions those things you kept in life, why not give away and do someone else some good before you kick the bucket? If all Singaporeans realised this truth, they will live happier, and learn to do more meaningfully with better things in life instead of looking for money and more money and then what to do even you become a millionaire or billionaire? You eventually will it give away too.: Alien talk 11:10, 17 July 2007 (SGT)

[edit] It is true we are born naked, and when we depart we cannot bring along even a single cent, just we go back to dust from what we were originally made when we came out from the rabbit hole alive

    • In fact the Bible speaks of this kind of Love in contrast with human affections.

A special word in Greek known as AGAPE is used. Agape is divine love, it is never used in the way we fall in love for one another!

[edit] Leaning to LOVE is exactly like learning to give
