SBS & Tibs Handover Exercises

On 3 April 1983 which saw the takeover of SBS services in the northern areas (i.e. Sembawang & Woodlands) to TIBS, with an initial start of Service 160 and 167 being taken over, the entire phase was completed on 9 Oct 1983, with the feeder service 372, which serves the Marsiling Estate.
On 25 August 1994, the government announced the next batch of 17 SBS services to be transferred to Trans-Island Bus Services. TIBS areas of responsibilities were expanded to include Bukit Panjang New Town and Jalan Kayu areas including the upcoming towns of Sembawang, Simpang, Sengkang and Punggol.
