[edit] Integrated Hub
On 28 March 2008, the Land Transport Authority(LTA) has awarded the tender at Serangoon Central to Gold Ridge Pte Ltd whom will be designing and constructing a development with a bus interchange, to be integrated with the Serangoon North East Line Station and Circle Line Station.
As part of the Land Transport Review, Serangoon Central will be the first of five additional hubs to be built over the next ten years.

[edit] North-East Line Bus Rationalisation 2003
In conjunction with the introduction of North-East MRT Line, the existing bus service network in the North-East corridor will be changed to reduce duplication and complement the MRT systems.
- Service 81 : Amended to operate between Tampines Bus Interchange and Serangoon Bus Interchange via Tampines Rd, Hougang Ave 3 and Upp Serangoon Rd.
- Service 82 : Amended to operate from Serangoon Bus Interchange to Punggol Rd End.
- Service 103 : Amended to operate from Serangoon Bus Interchange to Jalan Kayu and integrated with Service 378 and 379.
- Service 106 : Amended to operate between Bukit Batok Bus Interchange and Suntec City/Marina Centre.
- Service 107 : Extended to operate from Hougang Central Bus Interchange to provide bus links between Hougang/Upp Serangoon Rd and Beach Rd/Shenton Way/Marina Centre.
- Service 107 : Operate from Hougang Central Bus Interchange to Shenton Way on Weekdays mornings/afternoons and on Saturdays mornings.
- Service 107M : Operate from Hougang Central Bus Interchange to Marina Centre on Weekdays evenings, Saturdays afternoons/evenings and on Sundays/Public Holidays.
- Service 378 : Withdrawn and replaced with amended Service 103.
- Service 379 : Withdrawn and replaced with amended Service 103M.
[edit] Closure of Hougang South Bus Interchange
As the Hougang South Bus Interchange will be acquired for other developments by HDB, Service 328 will be extended to Serangoon Bus Interchange & renumbered as Service 101 with effect from 15th February 2004.
