Most Singaporean buy the Strait times, a major newspaper for English readers, which BTW is what majority of Singaporeans read, write, think and dream about. However, it has been a public educator and brain washing machine partly towing the line of Garmen of censorship<rather than a free press> closely <they can't afford to be sue by garmen!> I prefer to read the news on the Internet, and it is freely provided here and all interactive too! Nevertheless our family need the S.S papers for advertisements <my wife 'shopping promotions" my children <adv. for> job listings and so on. I just read the obituary to find all old neighbors and friends who are saying their last Good byes!
