tough and rugged people on the Island

I was interested in my own roots and in 1994 I visited China, a place where my ancestors came (to Spore) and then migrated here then (my father & grandfather) to grow and taken their roots here. China is an old culture, and it had taken me years to try and figure out the implications of the vast knowledge within its cultures and the varied changing trends present still in the old & modern society. Admiitedly, I am not an expert.

Most of us are born Singaporeans..or had acquired a permanent status as PRs - Permanent Residents still today has to understand why within the last decade ( 10 -15 years) why many Chinese from mainland China had came here to take roots here. Yet many of our own children are planning or had already moved to the west and gotten married into another foreign cultural (society) that many are still learning to live or cook or cope, and then understanding the whys. For lack of understanding myself, I will attempt to try tackle some of the issues within the context of fast the moving and changing demogaphics of our little Island and our society here.

diferent minds

( Personally i have lived over 12 years <overseas in USA & Canada> during my pursuit of my longings and learning the culture in the west, I am also not exactly an expert in all things there, however i dream far better in the English or western mindset than my own culture (Chinese mindset), though i still loved singing in the Hokkien dialect!! i should have marry a an Angmoh..however I didn't!..No, no regrets!! hehehe }
