[edit] Integrated Hub
The original interchange had been demolished to make way for an integrated hub namely AMK Hub, jointly developed by the Singapore Labour Foundation, NTUC Income and NTUC FairPrice, a seven-level retail mall integrated with an air-conditioned bus interchange and an underground pass to the Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.
A temporary interchange built down the road, with the bus services relocated to Ang Mo Kio Temporary Bus Interchange till it ended bus operations on 28 April 2007.
The bus interchange was shifted back to its permanent site which is located in the Ang Mo Kio Hub. It will be the third air-conditioned bus interchange to be operated by SBS Transit. It will be seamlessly integrated with retail outlets and a train station which is just a stones throw away.
With the relocation, all the 15 SBS bus services presently operating from the temporary Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange will enter and exit the new interchange via Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.
All 15 services will now not call at the pair of bus stops along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, outside Jubilee Theatre and Ang Mo Kio Station, as the interchange is within walking distance.
