[edit] Integrated Hub
The original interchange had been demolished to make way for an integrated hub namely HDB Hub, the new headquarters of Housing and Development Board, with an air conditioned bus interchange.
A temporary interchange built across the road at Toa Payoh Town Park, with the bus services relocated to Toa Payoh Temporary Bus Interchange till it ended bus operations on 19 May 2002.
The interchange was relocated back to the bus interchange's original site as the first bus interchange in Singapore to be air-conditioned and housed within the building.
